Answers:
The skin usually will start to blister up from the poison ivy, and cause a very itchy rash. Do not let your child scratch it, it will break the blisters and spread. Also, once anyone touches it, even to put on medicine, be sure to scrub your hands clean. You can use Caladryl to stop the itching and help dry it up and go away, OR you can give your child benedryl to help with the itch, BUT do not use both at the same time, it would be an overload to the system.

Call the dr's office, and ask if you can have him check your child to make sure. Sometimes it could just be a heat rash, which you would treat completely different. I hope it'snot poison ivy, it itches really bad!!!! Oatmeal baths will help soothe the itching also!

light brown splotches. Can be red if scratched alot. VERY ITCHY.. you should go see a doc for any Rash just in case.
little bumps that have a clear fluid in them. slight redness to heavy redness of the affected area as well.
Go get some Ivy Dry and use it on him.
Poison Ivy rash looks like a rash but with clear fluid coming out of it and they look like clear pimples
Small blisters, often with redness around the area. If your child has anything that looks like blisters try not to pop them, that's what allows the rash to spread. Put some kind of itch cream on it that has a drying agent to it.. should help. If your child has a major allergic reaction (spreads even with treatment, you child feels sick or has a fever...) you need to get to the doctor right away to get a shot to clear it up.
Red bumps and welts accompanied by clear yellowish oozing fluid that gets crusty when dry. It can be as innocuous as a few specks, or in a severe case, it can cover large areas. The worst way to get poison ivy is to get in the smoke when some is being burned.
the rash if it is poison ivy usually is confined to a general area and is real fine . unless he/she is allergic the it could be anything for blister to swelling. buy calamine lotion put on it. its the best thing for it and don't scratch it
Take the child to a doctor! May not be poison ivy, might be another sort of rash, like allergy-related, etc. See a doc!
A child of of that age is susceptible to getting scabies (body lice) from contact with other children or from sleepovers and sharing bedding with lice on them. It looks a little like poison ivy at first, but it can be hard to get rid of and there is a website on scabies you might want to research.
