make his dumb self go to the doctor, it is a sure sign that it is getting out of control!
He should see a pediatrist about it but I would have him right now use a one of those foot spas with heat and vibration which will help the circulation.
errrrrr i a diabetic and i dont think that is it but just do internet search if u that worried
He needs to see a doctor for advice.
Numbness in the extremities, esp. the feet, is a characteristic of advanced diabetes. Infections can result from minor injuries, cuts, etc. because pain isn't felt and the conditions get neglected until, sometimes, amputation becomes necessary. Keeping the feet clean is necessary and massaging them can help, but not reverse, the neuropathy. Your friend should be seeing his doctor every 3 months, at least.

ur friend probably has diabetic neuropathy. he should see his primary doctor to refer him to see a podiatrist or neurologist.
He should go to his regular doctor as soon as possible. Diabetics are prone to have problems with their feet, and if they're not dealt with properly, the results can be extreme. If his doctor thinks that something is infact wrong, he will suggest a specialist.
mention this to your doctor on your next visit. when in the examing room, before the doctor arives, perhaps you could take off your sox so you and doctor will feel the pulses in your legs and feet.ask doctor if walking could help circulation on a regular basis.would periodic elevation of legs help?perhaps you could ask what can i do?and, what could you do doctor.
It is difficult for diabetes to heal which is one reason, you are admonished to check your feet. If they are numb, you can have an injury and not know it. Your friend needs to see a medical doctor or podiatrist asap. This can lead to such problems as injuries, gangreen and the loss of a toe, foot, leg, etc. Diabetes should always check their feet on a regular basis. See a doctor.
