TO THE DR NOW!!

That is very high blood pressure. It could be several causes, but heart problems are probable. Is your relative seeing a doctor? They need to go now! WHOA!. I'd be more concerned about my brain and a stroke. That's well beyond stroke territory. Go to an ER quickly. right now!

'nuff said?

go to the er now! I'm surprised he is not dead yet.

That is called a hypertensive emergency. They are in danger of a stroke! As well as a heart attack if that is a correct reading. They shouldn't even drive themselves to the hospital. Drive them in now, or call an ambulance. If that is a true reading then they are in big trouble..

Um. They needs to go to the doctor and get put on blood pressure medication, that is extreamly high. They are in the catigory of Stage 2 Hypertension or high blood pressure and thats actually 100 pts higher in the sys and 50 pts higher in the Dia than the minimum level for stage 2.

Your relative has extreme hypertension. He/she needs o begin hypertension medication emediatly. That rate makes your reletive at high risk of health problems like diabetes and heart attack. The bp medication should significantly lower his or her bp. Call 911. Get this relative to a hospital. They could stroke out.

NOW!!

Thanks GOD your relative has still not suffered stroke or heart attack . Rush him to doc before it is to late. This would be considered a "Hypertensive Emergency" . Your relative needs to get to an emergency room for immediate intervention. Aside from the obvious "stroke" and "heart attack" worries, a BP this high can also result in serious kidney impairment. There are also certain adrenal/pituitary tumors that can release intrinsic factors that will drastically elevate your blood pressure. Your relative needs to have a complete work-up to identify the source of the high blood pressure, but meanwhile they need to have it lowered and maintained to prevent further damage to body organs.
