What do you do when your friend got cancer and passed away?

Question:
My boyfriend's co-worker just away in his late twenties.
Both of us are very sad, what should I say to comfort him? My boyfriend almost got the same cancer his co-worker had. (It was a long story, my boyfriend got check-up one month ago, the doc says that he might have it, but they found out it was okay at last)
I know that my boyfriend is scared that he will die young like his co-worker did. Also, is it right to spend money on vacation(I know it will be quite a debt for me after I come back), not knowing will you die tommorrow?

Answers:
LIVE, LAUGH AND LOVE LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW, BECAUSE THERE MIGHT NOT BE. TAKE YOUR VACATION AND ENJOY IT LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER ENJOYED ONE BEFORE! LOVE YOUR MAN AND LET HIM KNOW HOW IMPORTANT HE IS TO YOUR LIFE. HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER, AND TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT.

Other Answers:
My Aunt passed away from cancer and the only thing that helped me what a article a friend gave to me. If you like I can send you one as well. I know it will help him as well. As for the vacation. Try to go somewhere quiet where you can meditate and spent time together. Maybe a campground like KOA. They have little cabins that are usually like 40 dollars a night and it's very sweet and relaxing and it won't put you in too muvh debt. This is what I did. I sat there with My best friend and read this article. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. It also helped me when My grandmother commited suicide. Thanks Erin
You cry, you try to be supportive to the best of your ability. We lost a good friend to cancer a year ago this past September. I was also undergoing chemotherapy at that time for cancer. Cancer at any age is scarry. But dwelling on death is not the answer. The suggestion to go camping someplace quiet is excellent advice.

Celebrate your lives and celebrate the good times you had with your friend while he was alive. That is what he would have wanted.
