Answers:
Even with it running in your family it doesn't mean that you're going to get it. Especially if you live a healthy and active life.

Other Answers:
Sorry to hear that.
not necessarily, however, i would be getting a blood sample every two-three months to ensure your okay. just eat right and exercise.
yes, it's hereditery.
well, it seems that u might but as long as u keep a healthy diet u will lower the chances
Your risks of developing it are certainly high, but you can put it off or even prevent it with good diet and exercise. Eat "good" carbs and stay active.

I would recommend getting your blood sugar tested on a regular basis and make sure all your health care providers know about your family's history.
Diabetes definately has a genetic predisposition, but that doesn't garauntee you to get it. Type II is linked to obesity, and is caused by the fat cells becoming stretched out so that insulin does not fit the shape of the receptor. I would suggest getting tested at least once a year, and to watch your weight. Exercise and diet play a large part in whether you get it or not, even if you have bad genes.
That canot be answered. While both parents having diabetes does put you at a higher risk, it depends on your health, your weight, and your genes. Diabetes isn't only a genetic disease. Most people who aquire diabetes later in life did so by eating the wrong foods and not taking care of themselves. Just take care of yourself and at least that will eliminate one risk factor. It does tend to run in families, but that doesnt automatically mean you will get it. Relax.its fine.

I am diabetic and genetics played a big factor also I gained alot of weight, which I have lost now. it could possibly happen to you , you need to eat right and exercise to keep it from happening also gestational diabetes could be a factor. Diabetes is preventable take care of yourself.
Most likely you might get it, it seem that is something that runs in the family. Probably you might not. My mom also has diabetes, I don't have it, but some of my sisters does. So you just look up to your blood sugar once a year and take care of yourself.

But mean while, live the good life and don't worry about that, worse thing can happen. Think those that have cancer , brain tumors and have no choice, at list diabetes you can still live if you take care of yourself.
not definitely.but, you should watch your weight, even as you get older. you have a higher chance, but watching your diet and weight throughout your life time is the best way to try and avoid it!
Just because it IS hereditary, only means that you are more susceptible to it, in this case. You CAN avoid it if you are aware of the fact that you are susceptible. Consult your doctor but eating right and exercising will definitely benefit you, plus perhaps avoid the (not necessarily) inevitable.
oh there is a really good chance you'll get it i am rowing in the same boat as you right now
Change your eating habits. Sounds like you are genetically predisposed to getting diabetes, but you don't have to actually develop the disease. It is not a death sentence. Just make sure that you try to eat right and include excercise in your lifesyle.
The odds of you getting it are better than average.
It is and isn't genetic. (LOL).
No one in my family has had it except me. I have been since 1979.
Just watch what you eat and exercise and get checked quarterly!
that would depend on your diet and exercise regimen of whether you will get diabetes to where you have to take medication or that you have it to where it can be controlled by diet. but unfortianly yes you will get some type of diabetes
Diabetes (especially type 2) is NOT just genetic. It has a TON to do with both diet and exercise. The best thing you can do is maintain your weight with a healthy diet, and get plenty of exercise, especially cardio.
probably but you can sort of ward it off for a long while if you eat right, and take very good care of yourself.
Maybe; but if you keep healthy and stay thin you'll have a slim chance.
While you do have increased risk of developing diabetes, keeping a healthy lifestyle can help in stopping this from developing, Starting now on limiting your surgar and carb intake, eating the right foods, and carb, yes there are good and bad carbs. whole grains are good. and getting and or staying in good shape, daily excercise constisting of just going for a walk daily.
it's likely, but it isn't 100% that you'll get diabetes, but considering all your reletives that have it, it is , in my opinon, about 80% that you'll get it.
I like you because you used the word "diabeted". That's so funny and original.

You can try to avoid diabetes by exercising and eating well. If you do get it, it can be very well-controlled.
Don't worry.
There is some useful advice here.
