Are Nitrile gloves ok to use for hair dressing/ dye?
Question:
Answers:
Nitrile is impervious to pretty much any chemical she'll come across at the salon. Plastic is way cheaper and doesn't discolor like nitrile will when its heats up. Plastic gloves also tend to be a bit looser so they have better air circulation than tighter fitting nitrile so her hands might sweat more in the nitrile. (I'm assuming you mean nitrile gloves like for medical use and not for hazardous materials clean up.)
The dye shouldn't leak through the plastic gloves though, so the problem may be she doesn't like them because they are slippery or they might not fit right since they are usually one-sized-fits-all whereas nitrile is sized. If someone has small hands the plastic gloves are awkward to use and if someone has big hands they can rip at the seams. Since (assuming the gloves are medical grade) the gloves are not reusable grab a few pairs so she can try them out on a few customers.
