i have r.a. dr says mtx will help but i also have chronic ear & sinus infections any ideas what to do?

I took (oral) mtx (Methotrexate) for four years for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). My RA is dormant now, I stopped taking it. Was the worst medicine i've ever taken, profuse vomiting and fatigue for 2 days after the one (15mg) dose a wk. You can take antibiotics for your sinus/ear infection while you're on the mtx. Good luck.

I had chronic ear infections and my hubby had chronic sinus infections - both were from allergies. Since i don't know what the other stuff in your question means, I'm not sure if that's relevant but I tried.

Have your doctor try you on Humira, It has helped me alot.
