My son caught mono in March. Shouldn't he be over it by now?
Question:
Answers:
It can take 3-4 months sometimes, you need to make sure he isn't overexerting himself and if you still have worries take him back to the doctor, there is a chance something else is going on too.

Yes, I had mono twice when I was young. It lasted a long time, about two weeks, but since march is too long. I would say take him to a doctor right away.
The best direction you can get is from an approved physician. Don't wait till is too late, it is better to be safe than sorry. It took me about a year to get completely back to normal. My immune system was so compromised from it that I caught EVERYTHING for a year. I also would run fevers a lot. I would take him to the Pediatrician though, in case it is something serious with his spleen. Sometimes they need to remove it.
I'd definitely take him to the doctor right away. But its extremely easy to relaps after catching it.
you shoudl be at the doctores like yesterday please dont ever wait to see when someone is sick all the best and may Jesus heal your son
A few years ago when I was in high school, it seemed like I had mono once or twice each year. My doctor said that chicken pox and mono are a form of the herpes virus. So, the virus is always in your system. A lot of people are carriers of the virus, but never show symptoms. Some people show symptoms a lot more often than others. As for the swollen area, it could be his spleen. If he's in much pain, take him to the doctor. His spleen can rupture. Fatigue is VERY common with mono. I would sleep, get up to use the restroom, and go back to my room and be absolutely wiped out.
