I got a tattoo two months ago. It healed fine but still itches. What could be wrong?
Question:
Answers:
It's still healing/your skin getting use to the ink. leave alone and it will go away soon enough. By the way, what did you get?
Other Answers:
Its still healing. Dont scratch it. if it is practically unbearable, put a piece of clothing over it and slap it gently.
Sounds like gangrene.
Skin infections.
My friend got a tattoo a year and two months ago, and it still itches from time to time. I don't think there's anything wrong, and I think it also depends on where you got the tattoo, because she has ones in other places that don't itch as much as the first two.
have u been sick or stressed recently? without seeing ur tatt i couldnt tell ya whats wrong with it, if anything ... contact ur tattoo artist and have them look at it ...
how big is it? you may think its healed but it may not be all the way healed but you should go see the doc and see what they can do for you
It could be infected. Maybe you should go see your doctor.
It is healing, if not red your cool, if red see a doctor could be infected.
maybe there is bacteria in it still get some rubbing alcohol and clean it if it burns or stings then it killed the problem or you can just get Aveeno lotion for itch and dry skin and it will make it feel better
illergic to the ink
the itching is good, it is healing nicely
don't scratch it or it could become infected
if the itching is unbearable massage it with some aloe
and for a couple of days use some anti-itch creme!
Probably just dry skin, keep putting lotion on it.
Its normal. Place mosituriser on it. Dry skin is a common cause.
Avoid irrating it (scratching and such).
The only thing to check is if you have any moles near the tattoo go see your GP if the mole is changing in shape, colour, or size.
u could b allergic to the ink........other than that....u might have eczema in that area of ur body......
Even though it looks healed. It might still be healing a little.
Or, you could have dry skin. Keep on moisturizing it. That should help.
Yeah, I would get it checked just to be sure nothing is wrong, but mine stopped itching after about a month or two...good luck
skin may just be dry. put lotion on it...lubriderm w/ sunscreen in it is a good one for a tattoo.
Do you have dry skin? Try putting a little lotion on it.
u could had gotten an allergic reaction to the ink. the best thing to do is to continue using the ointment that you were using when you were helping the tattoo heal. if after a week, u still feel it itching, you might to go see a dertamologist to see if they can run some tests to see if you need antibiotics.
but dont worry too much, u wont have to laser out the tattoo. maybe you also got a mostiquote bit while it was heeling, depending where the tattoo is at. and/or also if you usually have hair where the tattoo was place, maybe the hair started coming out ingrown, this would also make your skin itch. but whatever you do or dont dfo, do not scracthed it, because even though it has been healed, you can still end up scaring it.
your skin is still tender and healing...
don't dry the skin with abrasive washes and creams.. just pamper it.
this is normal.
if it get's real bad soak in calamine lotion.
what i used to do is just splash some isopropal alcohol on mine.
some skins take differently to the process.
how deep did they go?
was it a professional artist, reputable?
if it persists talk to them...
if they don't want to.. then talk to a dermatologist they'll prescribe you a cream or ointment if you need it.
some do have skin allergies.. if you have this don't worry you won't lose the ink under the skin you'll just need some help trying to keep from scratching yourself to pieces.
you may be suffering a very mild rash or reaction.
if all things are ok.
do this before you get another tattoo.. so the next time isn't such a disaster if there's a real itching problem going on.
most cases it's the sun, water (the chemials in it) the clothing you wear the detergents you use in the bath, laundry.. so on.
hair growing on your skin also causes it to itch, hair don't like all that needling going on when you get tattooed... so the hair drops out... then when it grows back it's itch itch itch!
just take it easy... relax.. if it gets real bad.. do what i mentioned so you can enjoy the next time you get inked.
if they were a scratch artist... or they did something wrong.. maybe it be time to find another who knows what they're doing.
but i don't think that's the case.
:D
perhaps ur artist dint use a new needle..........could be skin infection
Nothing It's Just Still Going Through The Healing Process It Takes Some People Longer To Heal, Just Don't Scratch it Cause That Will Cause It ToTo Fade Or Break Open And Become Infected. If It Gets Itchy By Lightly Slapping It Is Suppose Relieve It.
itching on a "new" tatoo is normal.. keep a lotion or cream called A & D ointment on it ---it should resolve any itching and help in the healing process.. I have many and went through the same thing to start with ...
