Can someone tell me why there is so much funding and awareness for aids but..,?

There is very little funding for research and cure for hepatitis C which is called a silent killer.Many people have this and dont know they do until its too late.

It's politics. Right now AIDS is a hot political topic. Hep C is not. I agree 110% that it should be, but again - that's politics!

Because there are millions of people dying at any given time due to HIV.

That's a good question. I guess it is just a matter of politics, organized groups and lobbying for coverage, new laws, funding, etc.
There are some groups that work to educate and fund hep c research. Maybe this is a good time for you to get involved in one of them and make their voice stronger!

because of the global gay community, it is very vocal and strong.....many disease need more funding but lack of organization from concerned people is one reason the funding is not there

Because it's a horrible way to die.
