Breast Cancer, Deadly or Not? Please Help!!!?

Question:
My mom just had her second surgery for breast cancer, this surgery removed her lymph nodes. We thought she should be better after the first surgery, but there was still cancer in the lymph nodes. What should I expect from here? I feel like I'm losing my Mama, and I need some answers!

Answers:
I am a breast cancer survivor. I was lucky. The axillary dissection (removal of the lymph nodes) came out negative, even then my oncologist recommended chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Any type of cancer treatment is hell. Your mom's physician and oncologists are better qualified to answer your questions. My suggestion is that you accompany your mother to her next appointment, at which time you should address your concerns to those qualified. Hang in there hon and all the best to your mom. Only one thing I can suggest at this time is to give your mama a break, help her as much as you can and make her laugh. It's very important to keep a positive outlook. You wouldn't know the amount of boob jokes I heard and I have to admit that in my case I 'd rather laugh than feel sorry for myself. Take care!
tell her to not drink milk. Amazing how many people speak out their **** about things they know nothing about.
