The cartilage that is in a nose doesn't undergo the stresses that a joint would do. So any reconstruction that may be done on a joint would have to be constantly repaired. So not a really great cure if you are having to go in constantly to have things replaced. Besides most people that have arthritis are considerably older and that many surgeries wouldn't be wise.

Most people don't have arthritis in their cartilage, but in more widespread areas of their body and in vital and difficult to reach areas (hips, fingers, etc).
