Drug abuse and having an extreme eating disorder can weaken the heart muscles and lead to a heart attack. Severe obesity can also clog the arteries and cause a heart attack.
Early heart failure is usually due to structural problems in the heart, i.e. congenital, or plugged arteries from high cholestrol, or damage to the nervous system of some kind.
VERY uncommon.
No and if you did or know someone who did, then something is really wrong in their life. They are not doing something right. Take a look at your/ their excercise and eating habbits. Stop doing drugs, smoking, drinking too much alcohol or things that can harm your body. Look into and know your family's medical history. Start there and see a doctor to ask for advice & guidance. Change your life immeidately, it's never too late! That heart attack was a warning to do something. If your alive then you have time to work on changes. Start getting regular check-ups for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose.
Take care of yourself!
Yes,it is possible. If she a chain smoker and drunk all time then there is a chance of heart attack .

Be careful of smoking!!

yes it is. everything is common now-a-days. a heart attack is simply an "episode" (moment) of impared or interrupted heart functions. it can be triggered not caring for yourself properly.
Meaning it can happen to anyone!
hello,

here are the signs:heavy legs, pain in chest or left arm, and high blood pressure. these are the most common!
please let me know if this helps. also if you think you are or are having or think someone is having a heart attack dial 911 IMMEDIATELY!
no it is not common at all for a 19 year old to have a heart attack. right now you probably have an anxiety problem triggered by your fears or phobias of having a heart attack.
i would suggest talking to a professional about how you worry so much. counseling and medication can help you believe that you are just fine.
my mom is a doctor.. she sez if you have hyper tension, completley obese, a diabetic with asmathic tendancies who eats more than the regular amount of carbohydrates, omega 1 fats, msg, preservatives (likes eating fast food everytime) doesnt move, exercise and has high blood sugar with increasingly lethal amounts of fatty plaque clogging your arteries or has a heart condition of somesort can only acheive heartattacks at that age
As most people have pointed out, risk for myocardial infarction (MI) at age 19 is rare. Because it is rare does not mean it could not happen to you, however. The risk for MI in young adults is a special population different from those for whom we typically think of in older population (overweight, smokers, diabetics, high blood pressure) - almost all of the younger population have to do with a problem that you were born with - the way the blood works, or chemicals within your blood stream, heart valve malfunctioning, or the vessel splitting its inner lining (dissection) among them. Additionally special exposure such as cocaine can put young adults at higher risk. Using IV drugs exposes you to a potential infection within your heart that can prompt an MI.
If you have concerning symptoms then it always makes sense to get it checked out for certain. If the workup is negative, then its time to stop worrying about unlikely things.after all if we spent all of our time worrying about every possible thing that could happen to us, we would never get anything done.
Good luck.
It usually doesn't happen. But it can. If she takes the wrong medicine that damages the heart or she is born with heart problems, she can. Other than that, it is not very possible.
It is also possible if she was a smoker while on oral or patch birth control. This increases greatly the risk of blood clots and if one becomes free or an embolis it can trigger heart attack or stroke.
of course it is. especially if the 19 year old has a history of heart disease or illness. obesity can also lead to a compromised heart causing a heart attack
