Sore throat on left side of throat when swallowing liquids for 6 weeks?


Question:
went to the family Dr. and she said their are no swollen lymph glands or tonsils. It comes and goes and is always mild. I can feel it more with cold drinks and cant feel it with warm drinks. I am 32 dont smoke and have had allergies in the past. My only concern is it is only on left side and persistent. Throat cancer at 32 I would think is rare. Should I worry?
