My ex is saying that there is no way he could have given me chlamydia as we never had full sex without protection.

I was with him for a year and never cheated, and the health advisor has said it is most likely I got it in the past year...

Yes, you got it from him. If his penis so much as even touched you without a condom, then you could have gotten it. And if there was a leak or tear in the condom you could get it that way. He's being an a*shole and trying to make it sound like you were the one who was wrong when most likely he cheated on you and caught it then gave it to you.
