Really Frustrated?

Question:
I have been sick for 12 days now with nausea, abonimal pain, and loose stools. I have had bloodwork, urine tests, CT scan, and a pelvic ultrasound and everything has come back normal. Within the last few days I have developed a headache that is on both sides of my head, right near my temple extending to my ear. Also the abominal pain has radiated into my back and up into my chest. I have been to the ER and now to a surgeon and no one is taking me seriously because all my vitals and tests are normal. Today the doctor put me on medicine because he "thinks" I could possibly be having intestinal spasms. Sunday I had a crusty yellow like discharge in my navel. My body aches, im tired, and really sick of being sick! I feel like my body is shutting down. I cant function in my normal day activities. I dont know where to go, what to do, and so thats why I am here. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? What should I do?

Answers:
Do you have a primary physician? Some one who can keep track of all these symptoms and your latest....yellowish fluid coming from your navel? The ER doc's are good, but they usually refer you to your PPC or a specialist. Stay on top of this. Even if you have to get copies of all you records and compare your own lab work. Don't give up. People go through problems like this all the time where doc's can't figure out what is going on and prescribe meds that aren't helping and the patient gets worse and worse. Everytime you go to the doc, let them know about the navel discharge, headaches and especially the abdomen pain radiating to the back. Those are classic signs of certain types of problems. Good luck.
