Abstinence, screening, education, an prophlaxys. in otherwords it is possible to prevent the transmission of HIV (the virus that causes aids) to a unborn baby by treating the mother with antiretrovirals during pregnancy. and then limiting exposure by bottle feeding formula (ie not breast feeding) Not you can Kill the HIV virus on contaminated surfaces with bleach, however washing with bleach or ingesting it would kill the individual not cure aids.
