Someone I know was just diagnosed with Multiple splurosis. Is there anyone out there who can relate to that?

Wow.this disease usually strikes young adults in their early 30's. My sister has had it for 10 years and a close friend has had it for almost 15 years. MS is different for both of them. My sister has long periods of time when she's fine and then she'll have spells of being extremely tired and the muscles in her legs are like jelly..my friend goes to the National Health Institute periodically for a new kind of medication given by needle. The new medication is given on a case by case basis. Without the medicine her systems are chronic.. no energy ..loses her balance..blurred vision.unable to stand. With the medication she still has those symptoms but not quite so bad. It's a hell of a disease. Has your friend had a 2nd opinion?

my mother has MS. well right now most of the time she is on a walker she has had it for about 34 years now. also two of her friends have it. but they are worse off then her. oh yea it multiple sclerosis (i think thats how you spell it) i just did a report on MS before school ended. she takes avonex what does that girl take??
