I have a medical condition that doctors can't seem to diagonise...and too bad, there's no Dr. House...

Question:
WHAT SHOULD I DO
Conditions:
Edge of tounge literally pealing off
Inner cheek also pealing off

Treatments Tried:
Thrush - Medication didn't work
Lichen Plannus - Biopsy, negative

Basically:
I'm sick of going to the doctors to pay money to tell me we don't know... call us if it gets worse...

Answers:
Without any other symptoms listed, the cause could be bacterial, fungal or chemical sensitivities (from toothpaste, candy dyes, alcohol, tobacco, hot foods, etc). It is possible that you are deficient in B vitamins (called avitaminosis), or other nutritional
abnormalities. Have your Doctor run some tests for Avitaminosis.
If these are your only symptoms, and the condition limits itself to your mouth, it may be what is called glossitis.
Hope that helps some, at least you have something to ask the doctor to test you for and if it is a vitamin deficiency, then it is simply a matter of boosting your vitamin intake.

You may want to change to a natural toothpaste, or even use baking soda and salt for a while to see if it subsides. Post again
if it doesn't get better or if it is followed by other symptoms.
It is impossible (and dangerous) to depend on the replies you will get here.

Find another doctor or go to a skin specialist or ENT consultant.
