Question:
I had bypass surgery 9 weeks ago. some days my chest is real sore and hurts from soreness. I am ok. How long will this last the sorness.

My mom had bypass also my old boss and they both said that it goes away little by little and comes back again but not as bad as before. the entire process takes about six months.

Other Answers:
If it hurts "inside" you may have adhesions or other problems that need an MD to consider. The outside, in my case, was tender for only about 5-7 weeks. Can you move arms, shoulders, etc. easily without pain?
The ankle of the leg from which the replacement vein was taken, however, will hurt me at various times for years. Maybe all my life.
Congrats on surviving a possible killer. You know what you need to do to avoid a second shot, nu?
3 to 6 weeks.
