Answers:
Actually he is close to right! Acanthosis nigricans is a discoloring skin rash usually on your neck or under your arms. It can be related to diabetes. The best way to prevent diabetes is to watch your weight, exercise and eat well. The main advice I have for you is to avoid all sodas. Next I would limit any fruit juice, but fresh fruit is fine. Also don't eat any fast foods and avoid candies and white bread. You should see that skin rash get better in a few months if you stick to it! Good luck.

why can we through away the batteries in the trash?

The most common cause of acanthosis nigricans is too high of insulin production, but there can be various other causes, such as diet. There are also creams and ointments that can temporarily treat the affected area.

Can I remove molluscum with regular wart remover?

I really wish I knew. I suffer from this condition too-had it since puberty, and it never went away, despite the fact that my insulin level is fine. While excess insulin is one cause of it, heredity is also a factor. I would follow your doctor's advice, but also use plenty of lotion on the affected areas between bathing. This softens the dark patches just enough to be scrubbed down a little. Aside from the diet and grooming changes, I suggest that you prepare yourself to be satisfied with a reduction, not an eradication, of the dark patches. I just learned to accept myself as I am, and have small celebrations when my condition looks better than it did last month.
