If you did a blood test(to check all diseases including Hiv in May last year...?

Question:
And your partner does it in December and all the tests are negative, shld you still worry?
or is it just human nature to worry over nothing even when you have done nothing wrong?

Answers:
hiv/ aids take up to 6 months so its still good to check maybe ever 3 months. if you have been with only that partner and you know he isn't cheating then after a couple tests you should be good

Other Answers:
It is human nature to worry about such a thing, but it is best to always be cautious. To be safe, HIV test should be done 3-6 months from the date of your last contact with other partners. Your partner should do the same. If all is negative, you're good and you can be worry free monogamously together, as long as you both are drug free.
it's human nature to worry about stuff like that. but hiv/aids can take awhile to actually show up in a test. everyone should get tested a couple times a year for it if they are sexually active.
Firstly, a blood test does not test for all stds.....there are separate tests that are done for nearly each std. A certain blood test checks for hiv virus and another blood test will check for syphilis. A culture would need to be taken for gonnorhea and chlamydia and yet another can test for herpes only if blisters are present. HPV the number one viral std in the country is not detected via a test at least not the genital wart type only the cervical type that is done via a pap test.

So, in a nutshell, you and your partner are not in the clear because not all tests are done and require different methods. Sometimes a person will carry HPV for years without symptoms as for some of the other stds.
I would get tested up to a year. Also make sure that your blood test included herpes, you have to specifically ask for that as well as syphillus.
