it is a PPI, Proton pump inhibitor. it inhibits the cells that make acid in your stomach, thus make your stomach not as acidic. it is for Ulcer.
it is best to be taken 1/2 hour before breakfast daily. it needs to be taken on a regular basis to be effective, and it takes about 3 - 4 days to get into full effect.
