Does anyone know of anything for alzheimers besides aricept, that has a lot of side effects?

I think you are saying Aricept has a lot of side effects? Anyways, a medicine called Exelon is also used for mild to moderate Alzheimer's. Unfortunately it can also cause nausea or lack of appetite in some people.

Sadly, there are few treatments for it. Check with the National Institute for Mental Health to see if they have any new medicines.

My aunt takes a drug called "Namenda." It is supposedly for dementia. But they also say it is for memory. as a matter of fact, I was looking at something just a few days a go. It was a testimonals page - I have an uncle in Denmark who has this and I am thinking of sending some over there. It is hell on my aunt and I just know that if my uncle was aware he would be so embarrassed and sad at what has happened.
