Here's some information on the condition. (Fibromyalgia)
it doesn't exist. It is not a real disease. There is nothing clinically wrong with people who say (or are told) they have it.

It is what is knows as a psychosomatic disease, where psychological problems cause physical 'symptoms,' in this case chronic pain. No pill or treatment can help it outside of psychotherapy.
Fibromyalgia is described here:
http://www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/fibromyalgia/fibrofs.htm#fib_a
"A chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points that occurs in precise, localized areas, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders, and hips; also may cause sleep disturbances, morning stiffness, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and other symptoms."
Fibromyalgia is where fibers are found in your muscles and it can cause light to major pain in the muscles, joints and bones.
