With proper medical care, access to family planning and sexual/reproductive care, access to information on how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from HIV/AIDS and other such things are a space luxury in many places around the globe, especially rural areas. and big ol' drug companies trying to capitalize off of sick, poor people who cannot even help themselves lift their loved ones and their community out of suffering and disease does not help. this happens every day, and I think is one of the most unspeakable crimes against humanity today, charging those who cannot help themselves for life-saving drugs and medical care. so yeah, I'd say in the short term, talk about it all the time, especially to young people, and explain how important condoms are and not sharing bodily fluids like blood and semen are to preventing the perpetuation the disease. and speak up to whomever will listen about this injustice and epidemic! people should not be allowed to sit in the comfort of their own denial that this problem will go away on its own. we all have to take action and do our part, sometimes more than just our part.
