cervical ribs and complications?

Question:

i have just recently been told that i have cervical ribs.....in trying to research about them i found an article relating to stroke caused by them restricting blood flow.....i do sometimes have spells where i get dizzy have a feeling of pressure in my head and feel faint also my heart rate increases maybe just because by then im also scared .........my doc said i was probably having panic attacks...but i didnt know about the ribs at the time i was seeing him could these spells be ralated to the ribs .......and can they really cause stroke...if so how can i prevent this.....or how would i know if im suseptible to have a stroke .......what kind of testing can be done....also how common are these ribs and are there different severities i am finding very limited info on this on the internet and what info there is is also very confusing........thanks so much
