why do i have memory loss after my latest seizure?

Question:
i've had two seizures, this one and one 15 months ago, i'm on meds

Answers:
It is the meds!

I was on an anti-seizure medication (Dilantin), and I had NO memory - NONE, WHAT-SO-EVER (short-term, long-term - none!)! Quite a problem, let me tell you! :-))

I learned to deal with this - lots of lists, prominently posted, EVERYWHERE (the bathroom mirror is a good spot, so is the door to your fridge, and the steering-wheel of your car, or attach a note to your car-keys!) :-)) If I lost the lists, or forgot where they were located - I was SCREWED - totally f*cked! ) and a SLAVISHLY-REGULAR, consistant, daily routine - BUT - talk to a neurologist!

Change your medication!

There are new anti-convulsive drugs available that do not interfere with memory, like the older ones do! You CAN have your mind back!

I have a MEMORY, again, now! :-)) Can you imagine what this means?

If you are talking about memory-loss immediately after a seizure, it is because you were UNCONSCIOUS.
Your Brain is a circuit board .Im sure the doctors told you about seizures so you know the whole deal. That part of your brain was just overloaded. sometimes it temporary othertimes permanent...Your brain just needs time to heal.
