Answers:
Chikungunya is a relatively rare form of viral fever caused by an alphavirus that is spread by mosquito bites from the Aedes aegypti mosquito, though recent research by the Pasteur Institute in Paris claims the virus has suffered a mutation that enables it to be transmitted by Aedes Albopictus (Tiger mosquito). This was the cause of the actual plague in the Indian Ocean and a threat to the mediterranean coast at present, requiring urgent meetings of health officials of France, Italy and Spain, but nothing seems to be moving that way.
There is no specific treatment for Chikungunya. Vaccine trials were carried out in 2000, but funding for the project was discontinued and there is no vaccine currently available. I say avoid mosquito's !!
help i have these symptoms and have forced sleep.?
There are no cures nor is there an FDA licensed vaccine for chikungunya fever.
Use whatever insect repellent you can find to reduce biting of mosquitoes. Stay inside during peak mosquito biting periods of the day. Wear long sleeve shirts, cover up as much as possible. Take action to reduce mosquito breeding by eliminating standing water as much as possible.
Look at these CDC sites for more information.
well there no cure as such ... but can be prevented by drinking ginger tea for atleast two times in a day and keepin kapoor , laung and tulsaji wrapped in a muslin cloth .
