Is it illegal to cure cancer without chemo?
Question:
Answers:
no, it is not illegal to try to cure it without chemo, it is however illegal for the doctors not to offer it as an option - and because of the pharmacuetical power and control, it is the most encouraged option even though there are better and healthier ways to deal with cancer
Other Answers:
no
...why would it be illegal? You can cure your cancer with anything you want (well, except something stupidly illegal, like, I dunno, raping a child), but whether or not it works is a different story.
Kevin Trudeau will say anything to get you to give you your hard earned cash and give it to him
he has been found quily in many states for fraud, he has lost a house due to fraud
Infomercials are crap.
They lead you to believe false statements.
How in the world is illegal to cure cancer without chemo? That doesn't even make sense.
His "infomercial" is full of misrepresentation and is barely legal in and of itself. His book is BS at best and the medical information in it is best taken to a qualified doctor. There are NUMEROUS fine print disclaimers to protect him from getting sued as there are some bits of information in that book that are actually dangerous.
He has been sued by the Federal Trade Commision for fraudulant claims (see sources), spent time in prison for credit card fraud and is using legal loopholes to sell his latest garbage to an uninformed public. He has been banned from selling anything other than books because of outright fraudulant claims. He uses the freedom of press to hide bhind and sell people things that give hope but do nothing.
What!?! It is up to you and your doctor to decide on the best therapy for your cancer. Some cancers do not require chemo. Kevin Trudeau is full of hooey! What's he trying to sell?
that's why it's an infomercial and not real life
No, it is not. First, it is very difficult to "cure" cancer. Most of the treatments are aimed at getting rid of the tumor surgically and/or trying to erradicate it (or reduce its size) with chemotherapy or radiation.
I fear that I am not in the loop on this Kevin Trudeau character as I make a point of wasting my time (when I have time to waste) by doing something other than watching infomercials. However, this topic has been in the news of late regarding that teenager in the U.S. northeast who has now been forced by our legal system into accepting chemo therapy. His young man had already gone through chemo once for cancer...and the treatment was successfull and he went into remission. However, now the cancer has returned. He has refused chemo therapy and has been seeking treatment at a clinic in Mexico (like the one where Anita Scott King recently died). His treatment consided of stuff like a surgar free diet and herbs. His parents supported his decision. Here is the catch, he is underage and his parents are essentially denying him health care. I agree that he may well be a competent young man and he does not want to go through the hell of chemo therapy again, but at the age of 16 he is not legally competent to decide that for himself and his parents support of his decision has been found to be illegal. As a result, a judge ruled just last week that he is to under go further chemo therapy, if so ordered by his doctors. Hell of a bind. Almost as bad as a teenager brought up as a Jenovah's wittness refusing a blood transfusion.
