Is it true that leaving your water bottle in your car when it's sunny outside can give you cancer?

Question: Singer Sheryl Crow said something about this in an interview. Just wanted to know if anyone heard such a thing before, and if it is true, why?

-- the Problem isn't in the sun or the water it's in The PLASTIC bottle because some types of plastics can be affected by sun rays and water and release CARCINOGENIC substance "it is chemical substance be saved in human body cells and aggrvate cancer" which spread at water
-- If you but the bottle at placa inwhich bottle will not face direct sun rays YOU WILL BE SAVE

I have never heard of that line used before. We all know, we will eventually take the water bottle out of the car to wash it and refill it, so it
sounds silly to me.
