Question:
lips being extremely chaffed and burning? i have had diarrhea for 2 days, but thought i was drinking enough water at least that what i can swallow due to this strictured esophagus. does it sound like dehydration, as well as the potassium pills are not digesting in my body they are coming right out and i take those for the high amt of prednisone that i am on

Answers:
Dehydration is a loss of body fluids, which are made up of water and salts. When sick children vomit or have diarrhea, they can lose large amounts of salts and water from their bodies and can become dehydrated very quickly.

Dehydration can be very dangerous, especially for babies and toddlers. Children can even die if they are not treated.

What are the signs of dehydration?

decreased urination
no tears
dry skin, mouth and tongue
sunken eyes
grayish skin
Healthy children can spit up, vomit, or have a loose stool once in a while without being in danger of dehydrating.
not being rude, but you should really see you doctor.
