Once an outbreak of shingles has happened in a person once, they are forever susceptible to future outbreaks however there are for some people "triggers" for outbreaks such as: Stress, low immune systems, other illness ext. A person experiencing such problems should relate their illness with a Dr to make sure there are no other underlying problems. Some antiviral medications can be taken to help prevent or speed recovery from this ailment.

shingles are viral and once you have had them, they can reappear off and on throughout your life. There are medications, also avoid stress and eat healthy. Stress. That is why I am so easy going.I do not want the experience again.

shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. it hides out in the roots of your spinal cord once you have contracted chicken pox, like when you were a kid. when you are stressed out, sick/ill, or under some kind of other duress, shingles will usually appear. it happens alot to people who are in the hospital often with various illnesses. they can be cured with anti-viral medications and painkillers to relieve the pain, but they need to run their course.

because the herpes zoster virus flares up again. can be broght on by stress or compromised immunity

If the Virus stays in your nerve endings (which it does) and you keep getting ill, your body is constantly under stress because of the illnesses. This allows the Herpes virus to cause another outbreak. Also, if your around children with chicken pox you may get it, if you have shingles you can give anyone who hasn't HAD chicken pox, the chicken pox) so be careful. My grandmother got the shingles 4x in one year. Good luck.
