I have been getting sores on my penis since I was 13 before I had sex for the first time. what could it be?

Question:
They come up every so often, and I've always associated them to friction and sensitive skin. The sores show up on my penis in the areas that are effected by friction most, the same areas everytime. The sores are are always scabbed over unless I wet them or something like that obviously. My partner thinks its herpes. Because they are red once I come out of the shower, and then they scab over as they dry. They don't itch or hurt anymore than a sore on your arm would hurt if you messed with the scab covering it. I am going to get a herpes test. But I don't know how I would have gotten herpes at such a young age, my first sexual encounter was 6 years after the sores first appeared. What else could it be? I'm not ruling anything out.dry.

I occasionally get sores, and they go away within a few days, but sometimes are there for a couple weeks. For me they are just like blisters or friction burns.

I think that it would be a good idea for you to get tested anyways just to be safe. It is possible to get STDs without having sex. It's just a lot harder.

If it does turn out to just be from friction, try using lube when you masturbate as well as when you have sex. Water-based lubes work the best, but if you have some extra money try the Wet Platinum silicon-based lubes. It will not only make things slippery, but will also moisturize the skin and can last for hours.
your Mother passed herpes to you throw birth(maaybe) you better go get yourelf cchecked out. Herpes can lie domant for years before it pops up.
The herpes test is very easy. Just go into the doctor when you first get the fresh lesions. They will unroof one and either do a Tzanck test or pcr test. The pcr test is much much better and very very accurate. If you want to know for sure, that's the way to go! Good luck.
