A friend has a 6 years old child with brain paralysis. Is appropriate for him a doll as a gift? Thank you?

Question:
I want to give hime a toy, he is very intelligent and I know if the child with this situation need to feel control over something, that's why I'm asking this question.

Answers:
Often, and child or anyone with some kind-of brain damage will enjoy a doll to hold and play with. It can give then a sense of comfort and calmness.

Other Answers:
Yes. I would. If you are worried about getting him a female doll you could try to fine Diego from the show Go Diego Go

I would give it to them, that's a nice jesture, If you really feel funny about a doll, how about a stuffed animal. why not ? brain paralysis child will play with it . but just keep two things in mind:

> the doll should big enough, so the chiiild doesn't choke himself with tiny parts

> your friend doesn't mind that you condsidered the child as a mentally retarded
