What are the complications of genital warts?
Question:
Answers:
One of the posters has incorrect information. The strain of HPV that cause genital warts is not the strain which causes precancerous cells on the cervix. There are no complications, it's just cosmetic. It is a virus and your body will have to fight it off, but it usually will within a few years. Make sure you inform all partners because it is spread easily. But you can decrease the chances of spreading it by using condoms.

Not many complications for you, but if you expose a girl, she can get cervical cancer. Always wear protection until you've gone over a year without an "occurance".

If the baby is born vaginally, then the wart virus can get on the vaginal secretions. If the secretions get into the babies airway, then the babies airway will get warts. These warts can block off air killing the baby. Its happed but rare. Thats why you dont want to have sex until your married. Never too late to start.
