why cant we stop AIDS from spreading??
Question:
Answers:
Where there is good public education, along with free condoms and free needle exchange, the spread of HIV drops to near zero. But of course, we MUST oppose things like that because they "send the wrong message". We must continue to make "sinful" behavior like needle drug use and sex as dangerous as possible, so that those who "stray from the straight and narrow" are punished, punished, punished.
That it is in our best interest in a worldly, financial sense, to prevent, rather than deal with, HIV infections is irrelevant. All that matters is that "rules are rules" and those who break them must be made to suffer horribly.
Other Answers:
I read it mutates itself which makes it hard to make a vaccine for it (if I'm not mistaken).
At this point in our ever-changing universe's history it has become impossible to prevent the spread of AIDS because too many are still uneducated about this long-term epidemic. Too many people take an "it could never happen to me" stance on the ever growing AIDS issue. Most view it as simply something that happens to lower income people, in underdeveloped countries. Also, there has been a social stigma placed upon people who do have AIDS. They are considred to be unclean, promiscuous, and just poor citizens in general. They are not given the one thing they truly need, and that is compassion. If AIDS were like cancer and touched nearly every person on the planet in someway, more government funding AND more citizen participation would surely help decrease the spread of this horrible, debilitating disease. Until more people learn about AIDS and accept it as a daily part of life in today's world AIDS won't stop spreading because too many people are uneducated about the AIDS disease and preventative measures such as condoms and whatnot.
It's pretty simple. People have sex without needed protection. It is especially bad when one of the couple already realizes he/she has the HIV virus and just continues the sexual practice. This can result in "homicide charges." Although not 100 percent effective, condoms would definitely be a first-line safe-guard of protection. It is also amazing to me that at least one of the two would not know that. I know for a fact that most condoms are purchased, or obtained, by women (who are trying to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies and the HIV/AIDS virus. The problem is the "heat of the moment" does not allow application of the condom sometimes, or especially problematic, the male of the two refuses to use the condom--especially in so called third world countries. That is what accounts for the millions of AIDS patients on the Continent of Africa especially. By the way "hehe" it is no laughing matter; however, I doubt if you meant it like that.

not to mention, even if there was a vaccine, there is no way to stop "rabbits" in the same cage from mating, if u get my drift, aids or not those infected will continue to do it, most unaware of their disease. It would take entirely too much money and control of every human being from the time they are born till they die in the us and the us wont pay for that. Then we have the issue of illegal alliens, and the government cant do anything about them because they arnt even ligit- u know?/ so even if we did get us citizens under our thumb, we have know idea where the sliens are, what they r doing, and what they have been exposed to, AND we have no way of tracking them.
we haven't found a cure yet, just don't have unprotected sex or come in contact with an infected genital area, you can transmit the disease easily that way
ACTUAL REALITY ACT UP FIGHT AIDS!!
AIDS spreads because humans now days are promiscuous. I don't follow this but if more were married and stayed in a committed relationship and didn't have several different partners than we would be less likely to pass things on. I know that lots of people now days get divorces and so on and have other partners, but I think that that would be a good way to help stop spreading AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Bottom line answer to this question is it isn't that people are un educated it is the simple fact that people are either ignorant to the fact that it can take another life or feel that there partner don't look infected so they should be fine. People need to weak up and realize that this is disease is not a joke and that they are not obviously trying to start passing out the cure so we all should just perfect our selves.
we can. Thailand did an excellent job through condoms and education dramatically reduced the rate of infection. Now if only the same politics were prevalent around the world. I imagine that it wouldn't be such and epidemic
Because the people that have it can't keep it in their pants
We can't stop it from spreading because people out there won't stop having unprotected or safe sex, very simple.
We can't stop HIV from spreading (AIDS is the after-affect of being infected with HIV) because people, despite all the excess knowledge we have now, will refuse to use condoms, get tested, and just over-all practice safer sex. In the third world countries, where the knowledge and abilities did not exist, it is/was hard to stop the virus from spreading.
Remember that knowledge is power, and applying that knowledge is intelligent.
