Gayness is not a disease. People are either born like that or they have an upbringing which makes them like that. It's more about personal preferance, not a virus. If it was a disease, random people would turn gay over night, and chances are, if they just come out of the closet, they have been gay for a while. It doesn't just "happen".
I am not to keen on gay folks myself, but as long as they keep it behind closed doors, I don't see what it is hurting.

yeah i agree but i don't htink it's a disease but rather the wrong life sytle choice and i have heard a gay guy say that he has been reformed and now he's married and no longer gay so from that i think they can definatley change. yeah and i agree that there should be more support rather than condeming because this just leads them further and further away from society

First off, who says it's a disease? But to answer your question people who bash gays or anyone else do so because they are insecure. If they were secure they wouldn't have a problem with gays or anyone else to be truthful. I mean so what if a guy/girl like or loves another guy/girl. Why should it bother them. Being gay is not a disease. It won't make you sick or kill you. It's just the sexual preferance a person has. What makes you think it's a disease. Besides no one should be ridiculed because of it regardless, but it's like evrything else. If someone is differant in any way then someone out there will criticise them for it. As much as people believe they are forward thinking people, a lot of them are still conservatives, especially catholics, no matter what they choose to believe. The problem with homosexuality is the fact that everyone is forced to not see a problem, and thus a automatic reaction occurs for many to be either afraid, or retaliate against the gay community.
The same can be said with Westerners and Muslims (this is a very general generalisation). We simply do not understand them, and that part deep down inside us telling us everything is fine just the way they are informs us that they are "bad."

Number one; being gay isn't a disease. No sympathy votes there. Number two; there is no cure. I was born and grew up loving my own sex. I married normally and stayed loyal for 10yrs until I met my same sex soul mate. There are many factors that put gay people on the outer with hetrosexual folks. Three; a man with a man is a mortal sin according to the Bible. Four; God loves you just as you are, don't go out and put it on a bill board, it only attracts hate. Most wife swapping gays bring disgust down on the heads of shy and loving gays like us.
