If I have had the shingles, can I still get the new vaccine,Zostava.

Question: I have had the shingles once and know it's possible to get again. Can I get immunizated with Zostavax to protect me from another episode of shingles?

Are you over 60 years old? It is only indicated for use in patients aged 60 or above, and works best in those aged 60-69. I'm pretty sure it will not help you to get it, but check with your doc to be certain.
