I had lower back pain yesterday, just to the side of my spine, the pain has now moved round to the side of my abdomen can the pain move around like that if its a kidney infection, i can also feel some spasms in my abdomen every now and again?

Answers:
Sounds like. You need to go to urgent care or the ER. It will only get worse and untreated can damage your kidneys!

Other Answers:
go to the emergency room, they"ll take xrays and give you something for pain and possible infection..it could also be your apendix
maybe its appendictus...whatever get yourself checked !
I am no doctor so I can't say for sure what is going on with you,but you need to go to the doctor and find out for sure, instead of guessing what it is.
POssibly or it could be Apendicitis. Are you being / feeling sick at all or do you have a fever? If yes i would get yourself to hospital ASAP. At the very least you need to get a doctor out. Kidney infections are no laughing matter. I have suffered with loads and been hospitalised loads of times with them so please, please, please get yourself seen by a doctor ASAP.
It could be. What I do when I have a kidney infection or my sides hurt because of WAY to much caffine (my 4 cups of coffee in morning and tea all day long) is I drink a cup of Alka-Seltzer. I can almost feel the flushing of the kidneys right away. I like the cherry flavor the best. then finish off with a nice glass of water.
do you have kidney infection? please visit you doctor for tests and advice.
this sounds like trapped wind. if the pain is in your lower back then this is a kidney infection also passing blood and lower abdomen pain. see a doctor. in the mean time drink loads of water the hotter the better to help flush the kidneys out
What is it you want to know?
If you can't get to see a doctor or pharmacist try drinking plenty of water to flush out your system. If this doesn't work you will need to seek medical advice.
since you have not described type of pain, duration, intensity and which side left or right. its difficult for my preliminary diagnose.plus spasm on which area of abdomen because its divided into 9 quadrants.what did you have for lunch, dinner etc.

try to explain again or better go to a nearest doctor if its severe or unbearable
First of all, you may do urine-routine analysis. Urinalysis may disclose blood, pus, casts, albumin, minute crystals and other abnormal things in the urine. Kidney stone may be one of the reasons for back pain. Drink 15 glasses of water daily.
Consult a Nephrologist.
Please see the webpages for more details on Nephritis (inflammation of kidneys) and Kidney stone.
if you had a kidney infection you would have acute back pain, nausea, vomiting and would feel extremely unwell, i should know because i have had it
It cud be urine infection. It becomes a big concern when there is a pain on both sides, the back and the abdomen.U need to show urself immedietly to the doctor as the symptoms might ge worse.
