Has anyone ever had topical dermatitis, if so how did you get rid of it?

Question:
I have been to the docter for it, and it will get a little better and then it will get worse. It is about to drive me crazy!!!

Answers:
A true topical dermatitis is a reaction to contact with something in the environment like fake gold plated jewelry. If you can find the irritant and put it away then it should go away with some hydrocortizone cream.

ADDED:
I think I was wrong here. I was thinking of contact dermatitis. Topical dermatitis may be another name for psoriasis, but I'm not sure of that either. I have heard that "Skin Zinc" is good for psoriasis—but I'm afraid I'm out of my league here.

ADDED AGAIN:
I think what you are calling topical dermatitis is shown in my books as "atopic dermatitis" which is a chronic recurrent itching dermatitis probably with a non-specific allergic basis. Treatment for exacerbations are steroid creams and antihistamines. The flare ups appear to be worse in winter. Some people even move to change climates. I don't know your age, but if you are planning to go away to college, I would take climate into consideration.
I don't think it can be cured only controlled
