Can a person with marfan syndrome be a flight stewardess?

What jobs are suitable for people with marfan syndrome?

Answers:
no, the pressure gradiant changes can lead to an aortic tear. You need a low stress and low physical duress type of job. Any desk job will work

Other Answers:
Hi! I actually do not know the answer, BUT I have Marfan Syndrome (too) & I have an appointment w/ my Cardiologist (Dr Braverman in St Louis, MO.EXCELLENT Marfan Specialist) on 7/17/06. I was going to ask him about flying myself, so I will ask him about the Flight Attendant job & what jobs should Marfan sufferers avoid. I will get back to you on the 17th & tell ya all about it.(I have to see Dr B., also get a CT Scan, every 6 months! I have a 6" Aortic Graft (Replacement) w/ dissection/dilation down the rest of my Aorta, plus a few more related disorders.) There's a great website you might want to check out: 'The National Marfan Foundation' (link below)! Sorry I couldn't help right now, but I'll let you know 7/17!
