Can eczema cause blisters?

Question:
My daughter has eczema and we are questioning whether her eczema is acting up or if she has chicken pox.

Answers:
I've had eczema for many years. I get it on my hands and feet mostly. Tiny little blisters from scratching. . The itch can be totally unbearable. Scratching also pops the blisters and the more you scratch the worse it seems to get. There are creams that you can get from your DR. That will help.
Chicken pox usually starts with a fever and not feeling well. and is all over your body. The rash usually last about 10days. And itches just as bad. Take her to the DR. if your really not sure.

Other Answers:
I have eczema, and mine forms bumps and is very itchy. When I itch it, it tends to break and looks like blisters. Since I have dark skin I don't know if eczema is red.

If she does have exzcema the itching and bumps can normally be controlled with a cortizone cream. Now if she has chickenpoxs the cream won't do much, but if she has poxs she probally would have other symptoms along with the rash such as fever.

So fever in this case will most likely be the way to tell what your daughter has.
I have heard that can happen, but you should go to the dermatologist to get these treated even if it isn't chicken pox. Your daughter is probably very uncomfortable.
Eczema: A noncontagious inflammation of the skin, characterized chiefly by redness, itching, and the outbreak of lesions that may discharge serous matter and become encrusted and scaly.

Chicken pox: An acute contagious disease, primarily of children, that is caused by the varicella-zoster virus and characterized by skin eruptions, slight fever, and malaise.
i think so. my daughter has had it behind her knees, and it looks like chigger bites.she was put on elidel for that.also a little info if it gets on her hands i.e..hand sanitizer is usually to blame and she would need steriod cream.hope this helps.
If she's not running a fever, it would be more likely eczema. Either way taking her in to see the doctor and keeping her away from other kids until then as a preventative measure may be a good idea.

An oatmeal bath will help with the itch and won't hurt anything if it is chickenpox.
