Whats the best help for Bells Palsy?

Question:
I had it 2 years ago and my face still does't move properly.

Answers:
I'm sorry to hear. Usually with Bells palsy, whatever you have at 90 days after the onset of symptoms is what you will have forever. All treatment for Bells is for acute onset and include steroids, anti-viral meds. I've heard various numbers but some where aroundhalf will return to normal, another 30-40 % improve but not normal and another 10% never inmprove. But most agree that whatever recovery a person gets will occur by 90 days from symptom onset.

Other Answers:
I have heard that its time. It takes quite a while to overcome it. See your Dr. if you feel its been ample time to heal. Maybe physio?
Bells Palsy should not have any lasting effects. Go see a neurologist. I had it once and had no lasting effects. Bells Palsy is caused by a pinched or swollen nerve that controls movement in your face. Once the swelling goes down, all should return to normal.
