I am losing weight though slowly.Help?

Question:
I am diagnosed to be an IGT patient(pre diabetic). I also suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis occasionally and was under methotrexate treatment for two years (low dose). Is my weight loss attributed to diabetes/RA ? How can I reverse this without risk of increasing of blood sugar levels?

Answers:
I agree with Latin girl. Consult with a registered dietitian, nurse or physician. You are correct to more carefully assess your weight loss options and goals, considering your glucose instability. But, your weight loss won't be difficult if you consult your health care practitioner, who will want to monitor you and your body's responses to the changes in your diet and increased activity levels. Go slowly with the weight loss. And, try rolfing for the arthritis. It works.

Other Answers:
I would consult a dietician who can better answer your questions. The dietician can put together a eating plan for you based on your diabetes.
Anyone who has diabetes needs a diet specialist all the time called a dietitian they study food and calories and know how it works. If you need to loose weight they tell you how if you need to controll they tell you how. Please see on way better and healthier then trying it yourself.
Hi
The safest way to loose weight would be to follow this programme so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Good luck
