Possible menopause oddity?

Question:
Does anyone know why it might be, in a 46 year old woman, that consistantly for the past year or so right after menses, boils erupt? The boils are located in the pelvic region, on the pubus. The individual doesn't shave, so it's not ingrown hairs from that. She isn't sexually active to speak of, maybe a couple times a year, so it isn't from friction or trauma to that area. It's just that every time the period ends, the boils begin, and if left alone they clear up in 4-6 weeks' time. Is this some strange reaction related to hormonal changes in the pre-menopausal stage? Is there anything that can be done to stop this from occurring?

Answers:
I have VIN III (vulvar inter-epithelial neoplasia), this is the way it begins. Is the skin discolored? Do they itch? Have your Gyno check you out during the active stage. What I have is a pre-cancerous condition that is so close to cancer that it has to be treated aggressively with laser or in some cases with excision. If it is caught in its early stages it is really easy to treat. Don't go without medical treatment. This will not go away on its own.
I think so, there are a few ladies that I know that have the same problem.
