ent, diagnosis, net doctor,?

Question:
i need too know free web sites too get an idea of whats wrong with me.lymph node on left side 3 times it size and my neck swollen terribly.you can even see it from the outside! treated for strep infection but swelling still there..

Answers:
You might have abscesses. I was treated for what they thought was strep and tonsillitis, but after I finished the medication they were still infected and huge! I ended up developing an abscess and had to have it drained by an ENT. After that I developed 3 more and ended up in the hospital for 4 days on IV antibiotics. About a month later I got my tonsils removed.

This is serious stuff! It sounds like you really need to see an ENT. I would make an appointment ASAP. It might be something totally treatable or it could turn into something like I had!

Good luck!

sometimes it can take days to a couple weeks for lymph node swelling to go down, but you really should see a doctor when you can to make sure the strep infection is gone or it isnt something else like cancer. you cant get a diagnosis over the internet..

but http://www.medhelp.org has some med help if you wont go to the doctor.
Im a pediatrcian myself, but if you want my help, either message me (if thats possible) or email me at richersonsaatchi@gmail.com

Beaware that any swollen lymph node that is mobile and is matted and hard should be taken seriously, eg: Lymphoma.
I think you should not play around with this. It's o.k. to do research but you need to consult your Doctor.
There are two many things that can cause swollen nymph nodes and some are very serious. You could have mono, ear infection, different type of mouth problems, cancer, leukemia, just to mention a few. So It could be very serious or very treatable, but you need to let a Doctor decide. You need to watch out for hard, irregular or fixed glands. Don't delay getting help if you have night sweats. fever, or weight loss. You can find any number of web sites by typing in swollen lymph glands but do contact your Doctor
