Brain tumor? Or just psyching myself out?

Question:
For three weeks I have been experiencing strange symptoms. For the first week or so, I was feeling a bit dizzy, but that was all. Then it turned into head pressure aroud my eyes, over my ears, and the back of my head.

I finally went to the doctor last week, and he thought it might just be sinusitis. But antibiotics (5 days) didn't help. The pressure is mostly gone, but now I have had a headache for the last 4 days. The headache is right above my eyes, and at the back of my neck.
During the last 3 weeks, I have had no runny nose or sore throat. My breathing has been mostly clear, although sometimes I am clogged up on one side. But since I have had absolutley no drainage, I have a hard time believing that I have a sinus infection.
I guess I'm worried that I might have early symptoms of a brain tumor. I have no blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, or shakes, but I am worried that they might be soon to come. Any advice? Am I over-reacting?

Answers:
It sounds like you are experiencing new onset migraines. See your Dr again and let him know about the headaches. Tell him these headaches are different than any headaches you have ever had before. Try to determine what makes them better/worse. If you are still concerned about it being something else, request a CAT scan. If your Dr refuses go for a second opinion-- especially if the headaches get worse or change.
Sounds like migraine. But then again your symptoms can mean different things. Keep a record of all the symptoms you're experiencing and bring them to your doctor the next time you visit. That way it's easier for him / her to give you a proper diagnosis.
