how does a person get boils on their face and how can they be treated?
Question:
Answers:
You can get a boil wherever there's a hair follicle.
If you're brave you can go get it lanced and drained by a doctor. When I first got married my creep of a husband broke out in them from nerves and passed them around to everyone in the families. I never had one lanced. If you can bear the pressure, when it comes to a nasty enough head, with a clean cotton cloth or heavy tissue, don't squeeze it, but push down into your skin around it and pull away from it. When it's 'ripe' it will drain, and if it's a big one, have towels ready. After it's drained, clean it with hydrogen peroxide and cover it with and gauze bandage until it starts to heal and can't be passed on to anyone else.
You'll feel weak after draining a big one, not to worry, just lay down and drink some water, you'll be just fine.

Never known them to be on face, hope u find out how to get rid of it!!
boils are usually caused by either a staph or a strep infection of the skin, or both. You need a systemic antibiotic to clear.
You have to get anti-biotics from the dermatologist .
this is the acme disease, contact a skin doctor.
a boil is a thing caused by a fly laying an egg in someones skin right?SO the old fashioned method was to let the maggot grow until its mature and then gently squeeze nudge it out when its "ripe" without squashing the maggot all over yourself.Another method was to kill it with a strong dose of salt.People usually get boils if they dont iron their clothes and flies sit on the washing line and lay eggs on clothing.I dont know about the face boils though.Never heard of em before.Try to ask your pharmaceutical assistant at the chemist.
Sometimes boils and acne can be hard to tell apart because they both are red and swollen and often pus-filled.
Please see a dermatologist about this. There are some excellent creams to apply to your face for acne that can't be bought over the counter. Also, if you really have infection there, then a dermatologist will have you take antibiotics to remove the infection and prevent scarring.
Good luck to you!
Regardless of where the boil is, I'd find a dermatologist or your Doctor to have it checked out. It could be SARS The Super Bug caused by a staph infection. Don't let it go too long, they can fester and cause gangrene and leave a horrible scar. People have been known to die if it spreads. I know this because it happened to someone close to me in the Austin area, they classified it as the Super Bug. Get it check out!
