what ointment can be used for skin rashes?

Question:

Answers:
ask your doctor for a prescrition of "lidex"

it's corticosteriod cream/ointment used to treat swelling, inflammation, and itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies and other irritations

Other Answers:
Over the counter medication: 1% hydrocortisone. Anything stronger requires a prescription.
Use Cortisone ointment. This is an anti-inflammatory that will help stop the itching and the swelling. You can buy this over-the-counter at any grocery store or target. If this does not help, then I would see a doctor if it gets worse or not any better.
Neem oil. It comes from a tree in India. It clears everything on the skin including insect bites, shingles, psoriasis ect.
Save money by choosing generic anti-itch creams - which contain either cortisone or dyphenhydramine. They work very well. Just pick up the box and compare ingredients to the more expensive name brands like Cortaid.
Have you tried Arbonne's ABC Herbal Diaper Rash Cream? Although it says "diaper" it is actually used by several people who have eczema and other skin rashes. I would highly recommend it and know several people who have had great luck with it!!
